ParticipationA goal of this course is to help you increase your cardiovascular fitness. Therefore, active participation is very important. You are allowed 3 absences without affecting your grade during the semester – if you plan to miss more please communicate with me as soon as possible to make accommodations. Each class meeting is worth 2-points. Transfer & Career ActivityThis activity is designed for student-athletes but all students may complete the assignment for credit. Fitness Tracking ProjectYou can demonstrate an improvement in fitness multiple ways. We will measure improvement using the Fitness Tracking Project. Examples of fitness improvements are doing more pushups, running longer, running more frequently, accumulating more time exercising, etc. The Fitness Tracking Project is a three-part project where fitness "snapshots" are taken at the beginning, middle, and end of the semester. Each part is worth 10-points. SMART GoalsGoal setting helps us put our thoughts into actions by creating a realistic plan. I will help you will create one fitness SMART Goal for the upcoming semester. You can also choose to develop goals in other areas such as academic or personal goals. |
