Approaching the Learning

Answer these questions:

If you are struggling or don't know how to approach learning the concepts for your classes then you need to complete this self-paced tutorial and take notes. It teaches you the basics for knowing what to do before, during, and after class.

Getting Started

Use the tips sheet to help orient yourself the first 2-weeks of the semester. Review them periodically to make sure you are staying on top of your work.

The Early Alert System

Utilize the "Early Alert" system. If you receive a "C" or below in a class you need to active the Early Alert System and seek help by using any of the appropriate resources below. Be proactive and find a solution by asking questions and seeking help. You can do it and I believe in you! The Early Alert steps are:

1. Review your homework or exam
2. Schedule office hours with your professor
3. Seek out tutoring in your subject from the Tutorial Center
4. Attend academic workshops to hone your study skills
5. Check your progress - if you need additional help talk with Coach Marco 
6. Repeat!
